Yes, CAT5e Ethernet Cables can be run outdoors to network computers between homes or other building. Due to weathering from being outside, thin plastic coating Ethernet Cables will deteriorate quickly.  For the best results, outdoor Ethernet Cables should be placed in a conduit and then buried under the ground approximately 6-8 inches.
