Samsung is almost ready to announce their latest technology - the curved smartphone. Although, they are the big name in the curved technology market they aren't the only ones. In fact, LG is making a big push in the fighting to release the first curved smartphone.

Samsung is almost ready to announce their latest technology - the curved smartphone. Although, they are the big name in the curved technology market they aren't the only ones. In fact, LG is making a big push in the fighting to release the first curved smartphone.

Both Samsung and LG are using OLED screens that will make curved screens even possible. Unlike typical LCD displays, the OLED screens are mounted on plastic versus metal, which allows the screen to bend. Other advancements include the Cable Battery, which is a typical battery but is shaped like a rope and can be bent, tied, contorted, and twisted into some surprising shapes with little impact on its voltage output.

Both smartphone manufacturers are already committed to releasing "Bendy" smartphones. The question is, is it worth it? Are consumers willing to buy it?
