Adapters, Audio/Video Cables

Cables.com stocks adapters for use with NEMA power cords, USB cables, HDMI ports, and more. Find the adapter you need for your device today.

As technology constantly evolves, devices quickly become obsolete or require some kind of modification to remain useful. No doubt you have a drawer somewhere in your house stuffed full of chargers, dongles, and cables that no longer work with anything you're still using on a regular basis. But don't throw them all out just yet! With help from the high-quality adapters and cables you can find here at Cables.com, those items may still have a life ahead of them yet. You can't always afford to upgrade when adapting a little may keep your device operating at its best for years to come. Let's take a look at some of the adapters available at Cables.com to get an idea of what might work for you.

NEMA Plug Adapters

Depending on the device you're trying to run, you might find yourself needing a NEMA plug adapter or connector block. What's the difference?

A plug adapter like our NEMA 5-15 plug to IEC 60320 C13 connector works to adapt a male C14 plug to a 5-15 female receptacle. It's rated for up to ten amps, and allows you to plug your cable straight into the adapter which in turn plugs straight into your intended power source.

A connector block like our C14 plug to C15 connector block has no prongs of its own. Rated for fifteen amps and a voltage of 250, this block is intended to covert a C15 or C16 to a C13 connector.

As we've discussed previously, it's essential that you have the right power cable and configuration for your device! If not, you run the risk of damaging or destroying the device and even suffering personal injury. Pay careful attention to the voltage your adapters and connectors are intended for before attempting to connect anything to a live power source.

USB Adapters

So you have a new laptop or mobile device that has a port that you try to plug in your existing USB cable in, but it wont fit! Chances are very good that you have a USB-C port, and all you need is an adapter like this one to make it compatible with all the standard USB A male to B Male cables you have lying around.

HDMI Adapters

With the transition from analog to digital, it can be difficult to revisit your old home movies like you could in the past. Cables.com stocks some HDMI adapters and devices that might be able to help with that. For example, when you have an old analog TV set and need it to display signals from a high-definition source, an HDMI to coaxial adapter is the right piece of equipment. This device is compatible with popular devices such as game systems, DVD and Blu-ray players, computers, and more.
