The Future Of USB Cables

A major revamp of the ports and cables of USB connectors will make them reversible, slimmer, and better at transmitting data and power.

Everyone out there has screwed up inserting a USB Cables a hundred times. Especially now with so many electronics relying on USB connection. It's nearly impossible to tell which way is up. Now the group behind USB standard has begun working on a new connector that's designed to fix the long-standing issue.

Although Brad Saunders, the chairman of the USB 3.0 Promoter Group, wasn't able to share illustrations of the proposed new connectors, he did confirm they are working on multiple projects.
